Aideen Ni Riada is an Irish singer/ song-writer. Aideen loved singing from a very young age and followed her passion through studies with classical teachers before finding Jazz. For a number of years, Aideen performed swing music and other jazz standards with her own jazz ensemble. Since then she has started writing music and lyrics with more of a pop and contemporary style. Her influences range from singers like Enya, Eva Cassidy & Peggy Lee and traditional vocalists like Cara Dillon. She is currently working on her first album. “Among the performers on the night was Aideen Ní Riada who stunned audiences with some acapella jazz songs.”

Wexford Echo Newspaper

“Aideen was wonderful and had poise, suitable hesitancy, and anger, and she sang so expressively.” (Review for White Christmas, the Musical)

Liam Murphy (Theatre Critic)

“A thoroughly enjoyable evening out. While Aideen’s vocal talent was an obvious attraction, it was her welcoming, friendly personality which really made the evening.”

Jenny Higgins (Personal Trainer)

“A beautiful sweet voice which touches the heart.”

Berna Rackard (Nurse)

“Great selection of songs and wonderful performance. I really enjoyed the classic love songs, which Aideen sang with passion. Highly recommended for an enjoyable evening. Looking forward to hearing her again in the future.”

Phyllis Willson (Cranio-sacral Therapist)

“An enchanting chanteuse, Aideen delivers a captivating repertoire, ranging from the sophisticated swing of Cole Porter to the melancholy cool of Antonio Carlos Jobim. She captures the heart and soul of these 20th Century standards with 21st Century freshness, mixing in her own unique style and charm. A delight!”

Brian Patch (Writer/ Editor)

“Aideen has a refreshing approach to interpreting jazz standards which pays homage to the style of jazz vocalist, Ella Fitzgerald. Her repertoire takes the listener on a journey through well-known standards from the American songbook such as Ella’s hit “Oh, Lady be Good” to Sammy Davis Jnr’s take on “Too Close for Comfort” or the beautiful Hoagy Carmichael ballad “Skylark”.  She weaves from a blues to a swing or a Latin standard tune with ease and delivers them in a way that the songs feel as young and fresh as when they were first penned.”

Patrick Molitor (Jazz Pianist)

“Aideen has a really sweet voice, jazz with a soft evocative touch that captures the nostalgia of the old classic love songs.”

Yvonne Breathnach (Singer)
